Summertime can bring serious health risks

The summer sun can pose some extremely uncomfortable and dangerous situations for people. Here are some tips to stay cool in the summer heat (reference):

-Drink lots of water, or sports drinks if you're going to be exercising more intensely. It's necessary to replace what your body sweats out.

-Wear lightweight clothing and take frequent breaks to prevent overheating.

-Don't wait until you're feeling dizzy to take a break. Waiting so long can have serious health risks, such as passing out and having seizures.

-Wear sunscreen (at least SPF 15), hats and sunglasses to avoid sunburn.

-Limit strenuous activities to the early morning and late evening, when the sun is less intense.
